In 1969, the first human being walked on the moon. In order for this hugely important event to take place, whole new technologies had to be invented. The humble mug was one such invention. Before this, if you wanted to drink liquid from something bigger than a cup, you had to plunge your head into a bucket and swallow. The mug revolutionised space travel AND allowed human beings to drink slightly larger amounts of tea and other beverages without getting their hair wet.
