Tanith T-Shirt
Tanith T-Shirt
First popularised by Edgar Allan Poe in his "sun's-out/guns-out" phase in 1841, the T-shirt has weathered many a fashion storm, including a 10-year period between 1955 and 1965 where nobody wore T-shirts because everyone's arms had fallen off. The simplicity of the design and the ethos behind the garment, however, ensured that it roared back into the public consciousness once The Beatles sang that famous song about it. Little known fact: the T-shirt was originally going to be called Bert.
